Application
- Soft tissue approximation
- Skin closure, particularly in paediatric surgery
- Episiotomy
- Circumcision
- Closure of oral mucosa
- Due to its rapid loss of tensile strength, Rapid suture should not be used where extended approximation of tissue under stress is required or where wound support beyond 7 days is required. It should not be used for ligation, and in cardiovascular and neurological tissues.
